Your stories have captured the drama of a lower class lifestyle in working class England. I can imagine a girl's life playing out as you portray it, even if your characters are a bit exaggerated. Somehow it all works, even the 'happy ever after' ending, for a very pretty slut, a bitch, and a tease, but nevertheless a young woman with feelings, hopes, and dreams, trying to make a life for herself and her little girl in a hard world. It would have been nice to hear about what other ambitions she might have had, if any, that did not revolve around her love life? For another time, perhaps. -- JB
