if you are going to write a continuing series either give them all the same title or tell the readers at the begining of the story the order they should be read in and do it at the begining of all the stories in that series you never put it at the end if you have any respect for the readers or want any respect from them then get an editor and do a total rewrite on this seriescorrecting this major screwup

Your people are very plausible and so is the situation, unlike many of the fantasies on this site.
