Adele had replaced her anger with worry and was glad to see me safe. When she asked about Billy I told her the old joke about the homeless musician and said "One of the guys took us home to his girlfriend's place and she ended up replacing him with my nephew so I guess Billy's doing OK." She gave me a look but didn't say anything.
