I enjoyed getting into the mind of the rapist... and the justice in the form of his death. I'm struggling with the connection between the two sections of the story, though - the rapist and the miraculous falls. Maybe I just missed something...

This is a superb work crammed with powerful, evocative images of the English countryside, strong an unsettling voice of an evil man, and supernatural revenge. Highly worth reading and altogether gripping.
