I regret having missed this story 12 years ago, but it is still wonderful writing and storytelling. I would love to read about your further hookup with Kiki and whether you went to visit with her in Canada to try snow skiing with her or get a deeper sample of her Japanese culture... or any further development of your personal relationship.
