this series is fantastic, it sounds stupid but it's actually a relief to read a decent story that's not bogged down in emotional dramas! almost like a guilty pleasure, or something.

I enjoyed this more than the first installment but I'm still not quite sure what I think to be honest, perhaps that's just because you have a long plot laid out and trying to make sense of it after two chapters is impossible but there are so many loose threads and some of the characters are a bit bland. I felt my attention wandering in the middle as well but definitely an improvement, I don't want you to be discouraged by what I'm saying as I know you take feedback seriously. I'll say again, I think your writing is superb but I just feel this story isn't highlighting that, yet. I'll keep reading and hope I don't put you off
