I liked the tempo of the story and the balance of the two principal characters. The reference to "Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club" was a nice Bon Bouche.

After twelve years it's unlikely that you'll be reading this comment. However, I have to say that while the story was well enough written I failed to see the point of mentioning that Sarah had sex with Brian. The plot-line wasn't carried any further and it added neither drama nor conflict to the story. It really was pointless.
