His thrusts were harder, his face very serious as the tension gathered within his body. Our eyes locked together again and I smiled, raking my nails across his lower back. I could feel him pulsing deep within as his release was answered by another of my own. Time froze, centered around those sensations, then eventually reasserted itself. Carefully he withdrew one last time, tossed away the used condom then pulled me tight against him. I felt his lips brush across my cheek as his arms wrapped around my waist. His breathing became even as he drifted into sleep.

I woke up the next morning, my roommate’s stereo blaring some song that didn’t seem to have words so much as a continuous monotone. My head throbbed at the light coming through an open window and I whimpered, pulling a sheet up over my head.
