cigarette smoking in a story is a massive turn-off. most nonsmokers can't stand the stench. the swing aspect at the end was also a turnoff

To reply to the first comment left, I am a non-smoker and the cigarette did not bother me at all. And I was surprised by the admission of the wife at the end, not into the swinger lifestyle but it made for a great twist at the end of the story. I really enjoyed it from start to finish, nice writing.

The Child is only Eight Years old, and the two of them go off driving (down the freeway) while the kid is alone in the brand new apartment?

Was looking out for them to have a double fatality auto-crash.
