Very interesting first effort, of course you must keep writing. I'd like to see more character development, maybe not detailed description, since the reader can visualize whatever lovely creature he wishes. But perhaps some history, some deeper thoughts? That could be developed within some dialog with the truckers. Of course, this IS a fictional character...and not an autobiography? *S*

This story makes me want to take up truckdriving...
