I found myself feeling unhappy for our hero as the story of Mary's escapade unfolded, but by the end I was laughing and really enjoying the twisted tale that Britease came up with. Well, I expected this one to upset a few of the readers when I posted it, but perhaps not quite this much. If I don't like a story that I'm reading, then I don't finish it, but at least they must be reading it all, to get that upset, and that's what I'm after.

Like it or not, to get so many readers and comments is what gives me my buzz. As they say, no publicity is bad publicity, and that's the attitude I take.

I persue, like many writers, a policy of removing 'hate' comments if they haven't got the guts to put a name to it. If they do, then I leave it up. Well written story with plenty of suspense to keep me reading on. You also created believable lives for your characters. On the negative side the good work was undone by the ending; I was disappointed as I thought the shift from drama to farce was too abrupt and didn’t do justice to the characters. The first half of the story had a lot of tension as the author posed the question of 'Will she or won't she?'. The second half of the story was a bit of a let down as it evolved into an easy resolution to keep all of the stories characters happy and satisfied. The author writes very well which makes one wish that he would write stories based less on whimsy and more on the 'real life' problems and solutions resulting from marital affairs and flings.

Husband is a LOSER, that apparently quit loving his wife before the infamous episode. She made an ass out of him in front of their friends, and he still let her in the house.

At least he didn't have to have sex with her anymore.

Author builds suspense well. If you can accept Wife's life decision, then the rest is, perhaps, believeable. I'm sure there are couples who live like this. I knew one such couple years ago, but they ended in divorce in a year. Crazy, but not sociopathic. Just on the outer fringes of sanity.

Liked this version much more than the second even though I feel the characterizations are such that in both stories the motivation does not ring true. I am so sick of the revenge seekers out there. In 35 years of practice infidelity is not the kiss of death for most marriages. It may lead to divorce but not unless lots else was going on. If either spouse has to have revenge for it then there was originally an attitude of little respect and some aspect of property. Or perhaps fear of loss which is the only reality part of the revenge aspect.

Personally this seems more believable up to the point where he partners with Cath to run the business. From the image you printed of Mary early in the story I couldn't see her doing this behind her husbands back. At the very least she would have told him and saw where it went from there.

The wife wants to see what it's like. she does and she likes it. after all, It's not about love,, she loves Tom, She doesn't love the clients. But you have to remember, these are just stories, . .
