I think you've done a good job. Your story was dark, but entertaining, in spite of the ending being a little obvious early on.

You'll probably catch some flak for writing about such a dark subject though. I say this because that was one reaction I got when I recently posted a similar story. Take heart though, I agreed with another commenter when they said, roughly, even though Litorica is a celebration of life, there is a place on the site for stories such as these. Else there would be no "non-erotic" category.

Good first effort. I do prefer stories that are not as dark but this was a good premise. I look forward to your next story.
