"The solar panel bank with the sun rotor control will sit over there to the left and will follow the sun during the day. The first wind turbine will be over there, with the second and third up by the steel building being built by the old highway, as you requested. The roof of the steel building is where the additional solar panels will be installed. The power for the steel building will be completely supplied by those panels. The overflow power will be directed to the utility building to the right of your house. Gel cell batteries will store all of your power."

"How much power will they produce?"

"You will be completely off the grid with this system Sam. You'll require no outside power whatsoever. If you were actually hooked into the commercial power system, you'd be selling power back to them. You'll be hardly using any power at all with the way your house is being built; unless of course, you decide to run searchlights out here or something.

"When will everything be finished so I can do some decorating?"

"You ought to be able to move in to do decorating around April or May of next year."

"Thank you Mr. Carson. I appreciate your diligence and care in this matter."

"I should be thanking you Sam; you're letting me fulfill a dream of trying to build a place like this. You spent a large sum of money up front on this, but will reap the financial savings in the long run."

The next thing I had to take care of was an FAA inspection. I had contacted them to send an inspector out to look at the highway. As the inspector walked the property with me, he told me that the road would more than suffice for a runway, but was concerned about lighting.
