I'm' so glad to see a story like this! First, you did a wonderful job writing the story and sharing something that so many of us have been through! Second, this gives me as a nurse the opportunity to share with any readers that this is an important part of healing & recovery for everyone! And you don't have to hide, unless it's part of the thrill! Just tell your nurse you need some privacy and as long as it's not a danger to the patient's condition, enjoy yourselves! The endorphins released by sexual stimulation promote healing, relieve pain and oh - it just feels so good! Just be sure to close your door!
