This is a lyrically written history and i Loved it. The sex between the 2 protagonists occurs in a profunctory manner as if to say 'oH i must get a bit of sex in'. However, I loved the writing style and would be interested to see more. Having visited Culloden less than 6mths ago, I can believe this story and the hatred that created the Beastie. The writing really evokes the antipathy between the English and Scots, so much so that I wonder if Mr MacGregor still hates the english? I loved it anyway and want to see the sequel
