Something to think about: the core of the relations between the human male and the human female is that, unlike most other mammals, the human female is not seasonal. There's no estrous phase. Most of the problems between the sexes are directly related to this one salient fact. Men must be "horndogs", always ready, take every opportunity to spread your genes, because predicting when women are willing to mate is impossible. Everything else about the relations between the sexes follows from that. Everything - and then, to make it even more confusing, overlay the whole hopeless biological puzzle with social conventions.
