There is no cherry to reach a few inches inside. The hymen is right at the entrance, if a man is in even half an inch inside the hymen is stretched and also it's not a barrier. If you had a barrier how would your period come out??? Some logic please.

Actually the hymen is an inch or two inside and sometimes it either completly disolves or even just partially which is why girls can get periods and still have a hymen
