I don't imagine there is anyone who hasn't wondered, marvelled at the routine long, long hours that doctors incur. Simplicity is probably as good as any treatment and maybe a damn sight better than most others in letting a doctor unwind for a while. (I'm glad I'm not a surgeon.) ... jesse

I enjoyed your story very much! The pace is breathless in recounting the openingscenes as I would expect in the ER and becomes more languid as Pat comes into a new understanding of another dimension of life. The message to rebalance one's life has not been lost on me. Thank you!
