Oh man, I just read the first two chapters and this is gritty, hard stuff. Sadly I can believe you took the Skeeter character from a real person and that's depressing even though I know there are lots of them out there. The only fly in the ointment is that crack whores don't keep their looks very long, so that part is a stretch I guess, but what the heck, gotta have a sexy lead female.
