I think this will break up each marriage, but their marriages were something to laugh at anyway. This way, they will both get punished for breaking their marriage vows and lying to their spouse. A marriage has to be based on trust and neither marriage is very trusty.

I normally pass on the B&D stories but, I love a revenge story. I'll follow this series.
