Click hereMy apologies to Dustin Hoffman and Mrs. Robinson. I just couldn't resist the red Alpha Spyder etc.
Hope you enjoyed it.
By the way, whatever you may think, I know for a fact that the pair of them lived happily ever after.
How do I know?
Well they're my characters aren't they?
I like your stories but this one was a flop.
Good writing but the protagonist can't be that stupid and make so many mistakes, can he?
Eh, Greg's a softy. I wouldn't have stood for that nonsense she was putting on at the bar when they first met Daniel. Then the whole Christmas party thing, for sure gone then. There's no way to prove nothing actually happened at the party; only their word against Greg's. However, all the surrounding factors suggest Greg is correct. They had already fooled around, slept together, then she leaves and shacks up with Daniel afterwards? What was that all about, anyway? They had a fight, she left upset, and then they're just separated? He having fallen to an all time low and she climbing the totem pole of wealthy men? Boom, divorce for abandonment. Let's not forget that she's openly cheated on him all those years she was gone. No man with any confidence whatsoever would have allowed things to play out like that i.e let her decide to divorce, show up to her wedding, taken her back. Which brings up the conflicting points of the book. The writer makes him appear as a man with a spine, but then makes him appear as a spineless coward as well. He's either one or the other, OR, he has a mental illness and shouldn't be allowed out of the happy hospital.
Let's be honest she flat out cheated while intoxicated with Daniel and lied straight out to her husband, destroying trust. Is it any wonder he woukd be difficult to live with? He only partly accepted her lame excuse and lie about what she did. In fact she gave herself fully to Daniel. She never came clean. That info was years later from Daniel. Yes after the party, he made a bad mistake and never let her defend herself, kicking her out. For some reason no divorce? Until she was marrying the American actor Brad. Then the Graduate scene. In between she was banging a long line of guys as she built a career. Good for her. What does it have to do with him, except apparently he is pining away? To be honest she was going to pass on Brad (K)itt, so she certainly does still carry a flame for her ex, and she has her own wealth and as we see is willing to give up all her fame to remarry and run away. But while the ending is happy, how does it get from the point where she "slept" (in reality screwed for multiple hours) with Daniel while drunk to this ending through all the mess in between. Hard to see it play out like this in our space-time continuum.
