Hackney, Miss, Using Hackney Carriage, or Cab and Mistress instead of Miss would have made such a difference.
Miss was used for any female of above servant rank, Mistress meant any female who was "master" of anything and I am assuming the setting is nineteenth century, but the exploration scene is good.
I expect to see her slipping away from home to turn tricks by chapter three. like in High Society to Whore by oldpervert2 on this site.
Quite delicious. And as a Scot with a good understanding of the herstory of the English language, I think that 'anonymous in London''s linguistic nitpicking is misplaced.
Thank you anonymous for your edification on the appropriate terms. However, I left the date in time completely blank for a reason (in fact I didn't even name a city or country), as well as chose Miss for a specific reason as well. Despite the more dominant tone Miss plays, she isn't a mistress, merely a teacher.
But I do appreciate the support and thank you once more.
The quality of your writing is consistently high; the characters' motivations and conversations are natural; and the erotica is always stimulating. Your extra effort to provide a more interesting background is just icing on the cake. Keep up the wonderful work.
