Beth said, "I will gladly sign this statement in its current form. Dan may I borrow a pen?"

Kelly signed her statement and I signed mine. I asked Kelly to take all three statements and make three copies of each. Then come back so we can all have a copy of each other's signed statement.

When Kelly returned this time she handed me the original signed statements and passed a copy to Beth. She said, "Mr. Morrison, I think the originals should stay with you."

I looked at Kelly, and then at Beth, before saying, "The individual copies will be kept in a safe place at my home and not in the office. We don't want these to be left around for prying eyes to see.
