Funny how you use the SCA (Society for creative anachronism) as the base for his learning to fight. Since I am a knights in the SCA and practice Full Contact fighting in medieval armor using rattan swords/Pole arm/great sword etc., I can understand where he would get the knowledge to use a sword from.

I also thought it was hilarious and most creative or imaginative that he would “thinking about dead puppies” to keep himself from climaxing! Something I never thought of myself personally and I had a good laugh at that. Good story so far.
