Then he only gave Beth $1000 and lied to her that it was half. However, the story fell far short, because with my knowledge of the law, Steve may have signed a release but Beth did not, so she could have gone to court against the photographer after Steve left, and gotten all of the money the photographer made, and Steve would never know unless she wanted to name him too as a defendant and taken all of his money too from the photographer, and that doesn't involve punitive damages. Beth could have ended up being a very wealthy woman and porn star. Her husband's threat of divorce would be mute with the threat she would get nothing, but he would look like a fool in court explaining how she was a devoted wife and not a slut when he offered her to his brother to pay a gambling debt that first night with Steve.
