Gavin was so tied up in self-importance that he forgot that Carly was a person also. Had he remembered and treated her accordingly the story would have had an entirely different focus. It's just too bad that there are so many Gavins in this world, and that the Carlys do not have the fortitude to dump them.

Good story, well presented, no faults apparent at first reading.
