I'm not sure that Marianne's modeling job was 100% legit. The client was a nicely dressed older gentleman, and she posed in various bikinis on the beach. But what was the product? It's clear that Marianne is thrilled to pose for the camera, and would happily do so in the nude. She's also very impressed with all things Craig. In Simon's shoes, he probably does have it right to be worried. Marianne sounds like a girl with big dreams. Sort of a la Norma Jean.<br><br>

I'm assuming Alison is a former girlfriend? If she was mentioned in a previous chapter, I've clean forgotten about her. <br><br>

I'm not sure if this is the impression you are trying to create, but my impression of Simon and Marianne's relationship is that it is lacking depth. It reminds me of many 20-something relationships. The sex is really fun and energetic, but true compatibility often isn't really explored (too many hormones getting in the way). Then, when things either get rocky, or the sex life wanes, that's when two partners look at each other and find very little else holding the relationship together.
