I can see the potential for this to lead into any number of stories. The characters are set up well, even though we don't actually meet the second until the final lines.
He reminds me a bit of myself, which doesn't hurt to have the story resonate with me.
of the review written in the Author's Hangout review thread on it. I found it interesting but the paragraphs were a little long which made it more difficult to read for me. Otherwise, very interesting.
And I really found the review for this spot on. It is a really well set up story opening, although I can see it as a stand-alone (but then again, I have a weird imagination that runs away with things and plays with them) piece to describe a moment.
I enjoyed the descriptive parts, although I found some of the character's thought processes a little hard to follow, and, although I have a wonderful image of her eyes, I can't picture the rest of her except as a vague blur.
Still, I loved this story, and I look forward to reading more of your work.
Falling
I read this because of the review on the Author's Hangout as well. I loved your descriptions, though I also don't have a clear image of her. Maybe that's the point, she could be anyone? Anyway, very clear image of the scene and a feel for the anticipation of being with him. She's finally found "the one". ~Minx
Got a feeling that it might be semi-autobiographical....
