legerdemerabout 9 years agoEvocative, sad. The third stanza is gut-wrenching, full of the aspect of relationships that is hardly ever addressed by Lit authors. No question - 5.
wakingDownalmost 9 years agoThe power of love and the powerlessness in losing it is clearly evident in this. The structure and flow of the work is wonderful, and the sadness is brought to bear in the lilting ebb of the stanzas. Great job, and I hope it isn't a nonfiction poem.

longing without resentment
longing with love
longing that brings sadness
for passion that is lost
