Why so abrupt?

After such a fascinating build-up, it just ends with outrageous ambiguity.

Wow, could be a great story if longer

Great prose, loved it but this was way too short. There was the build up and then "drop off a cliff" ending. Keep going. You're off to a great start!

Great beginning but would've been better..

Would've been better with some more detail at the end there. Great start though
