The Art Department Chairman was a well-known painter who maintained a successful career, along with his position at Davenport State University and various statewide arts boards and organizations. His figure studies sold for thousands of dollars and he had several pieces in major museums.
He had painted Ruthie along with his students when she was modeling in class. However, he knew that Ruthie preferred to model for photographers as opposed to painters, so he never approached her about modeling exclusively for him.
Vicky Burns was different. For some reason he felt more at ease asking Vicky to model for several paintings. She agreed, and gave up several of her weekends to pose for her boss.

Anonymous8 months agoPosing in a private studio pretty much is going to be a nude session. It can help you make contacts to get more work if the artist is fairly well known? A rule of thumb is they will probably ask you if you want more work after a couple clothed sessions? If you answer "yes" it will set the model up for permanent nude work. A negative reply likely will end your modeling chances.
Anonymous8 months agoWhen I entered college I was pretty conservative until I took some classes in the art department. It seemed just the mention of the word "art" was a trigger for me to get naked without any second thought. True I was now a model but it seemed like a sin if I hindered anyone's creativity by not presenting myself as quickly as possible when that word was mentioned. This was especially true of the professors who would mention they needed a model this afternoon for a private "art" session. Bottom line was I was going to be naked again for about three hours in his office/studio since I had sold myself to "art.".
