The stream of consciousness effect of this poem worked very well, I think, because of its brevity. I really enjoyed it. I have a grammatical quibble, but that's all it is, so I'll keep it to myself.

As with many poems, this sparks a special memory for me as well. So poignant, so well composed, this is a beautifully written sentiment. It isn't every day that tears veil my eyes. Today they join a secret smile.

The poem brings my memory back to an older lady who was kind to me as a youngster
