Trudging through the hardest rain,
Casting sorrow through deflection.
Feeling oneself to endure the pain,
Embedded deep, our own rejection.

Should we wait for rock bottom?
Spiraling out of control,
Practice ourselves from what we’ve taught em,
Before we can’t, dig out of that hole.

Permissible in us a wonderful cry,
Releasing pent up depression.
Our beds of guilt, we often lie,
To exacerbate life’s confession.

Think you back to better times,
Positive memories to flow.
Ignore you not misguided crimes,
Your forgiveness seeds to sow.

Suppressing negative so ill-advised,
Or dull those senses to numb.
Cope within soon revised,
And beat to our own drum.

Balance between light and dark,
Extreme ends you never stray.
Compromises leading your mark,
Listen to what you have to say.

Accept the hurt, embrace the ache,
All feelings are your friend.
A better day shall you make,
Then victory shall be your end.

Beautiful

Such a wonderful poem. Really poignant, uplifting and inspiring. Beautiful visuals and great rhymes. Indeed, we all go through difficult times, and there are times when it seems that there is no hope. But there always is, and nothing bad lasts forever. My favorite part was: "Balance between light and dark,

Extreme ends you never stray.

Compromises leading your mark,

Listen to what you have to say.

Accept the hurt, embrace the ache,

All feelings are your friend.

A better day shall you make,

Then victory shall be your end."

Beautiful. Keep up the great work. You are very talented. Looking forward to your next work.

Pertinent to us all

Great work babe. No matter what our struggles; we can choose to rise or we can choose to be beat down. We may not always succeed but it is always worth it to fight. Without pain; can we even recognize joy?

I love you 😘

Inspirational and Poigniant

Insightful. If we are to heal we need to let go of that "rock" as the Zen parable goes. We need to grow and move on. Its how we mend ourselves.
