----------
This poem is filled with wonderful visual images and builds to completion.
Preferring the road less traveled more afraid of apathy than pain. Beautifully expressive! Simple and exquisite!
Below my favorite lines...
I never said
I'm not afraid of pain
I just don't fear it
as much as apathy
Subtle word craftmanship
Well woven phrses around two lines
Borrowed from two of Lit's own.
running my fingers
through the undertones
of careful conversation
Love this!
I'm not a good poet reader. I don't look for secret messages or tricks or gags. I just read and go from there. From this poem, you must be a fantastic poet, because the subtle touches is lovely to a point of, from previous opinions, the most astute enjoy it as well as the obtuse (to avoid calling myself "doopud").
Theres always magic in your words, Bel- and this is a great example! Thanks!
but I will now. You can write and this is cool. Great
job of describing how we all feel at sometime. There is a
song with the line 'should I stay or should I go, I don't
know.' Well, you answer the question well.
I am enjoying your work more and more. This one has am amazingly natural flow, and there is a powerful sense of feeling that permeates even the simplest of phrases. Some of your line choices are supurb and lol - if I could see the poem while typing this, I'd tell you exactly what! Needless to say, its a terrific one Bel. I think you exceeded yourself. :)
"So now I will try
to keep things unvoiced
to hide a half
of my dreaming whole"
... really resonates with me, Bel. Nice work!
