I'll tell you a tale of a man I once knew,
Nobody heard of the hell I went through.
Yes, this particular man almost drove me insane,
I felt I was shackled with a ball and chain.
"But I love you!" He'd say, after causing me pain.
"I don't abuse you!" But then he'd hit me again.
Thirteen years he was hanging around,
Doing his best to put me in the ground.
And now he's in jail and trying to appeal.
His love was all fake,
My murder was real.
