Double spacing.......

....bugs me but that's just me. I like this whimsical little poem.

I agree

You're right about the spacing. It didn't look that way when I typed it out, for some reason. I'll change it later. Thanks.

Another vote for single spacing!

But yes this is whimsy sugar sweet, right down to the last word.

Single spacing would have been better but its a dam cool poem anyway. I get the feeling I should know the butter from tigers reference. It's gunna bug me all night.

"And there he saw all the Tigers fighting, and disputing which

of them was the grandest... And they were so angry, that

they ran round the tree, trying to eat each other up...

And they still ran faster and faster and faster, till they all

just melted away, and there was nothing left but a great big

pool of melted butter (or "ghi," as it is called in India)

round the foot of the tree." - Helen Bannerman, Little Black Sambo,1898

Sleep well. :)

Good!

I liked your poem a lot! I read it over at least 10 times and every time I came out with a different twist. Many different possibilities here. Good poetry gives the reader something to think about and this definitely fill the bill. Good work!

Very thought provoking

This poem leaves me wondering about all of the secret meanings. I will probably read it several more times before I select the meaning I like best. Very nicely done!

okay now this

okay this is simply brilliant. I love when well known but yet not overused references are pulled into every day.

Butter made from tigers

is a phrase I know will stay with me.
