The ending of summer has come
the warmth of the day, the clarity of the night
fading into memory
.The flowers have finished blooming
their fragrance has gone from the air
a life without you is like the autumn chills
announcing the end of summer.

The ending of summer is here
long bright days and happy memories
fading with the cooling sun
The plans for the future have faltered, the optimism fleeing my life
a life without you is like the ending of time
marking the last days of summer.

The ending of summer is now
each day shorter, each night sooner
fading the promise of warmth
The bird have finished their singing
.Their songs have gone from the wind
a life without you is the silence of grief
mourning the death of summer.

The ending of summer is nigh
the cloud-covered sun, shadows covering my face
fading the heat of the day.
The beams of light shine through the clouds
Highlighting memories of hope
A life without you is the absence of these
forgetting the promise of summer.

The ending of summer is passing
along with the chance to express my love
fading with the setting sun
I said those three words so often,
not knowing how important they were until I couldn't
A life without you is a void in my heart
the fading memories of summer.

The ending of summer has past
The cold of the night is hard is difficult to bare,
fading the heat of the day.
But there is hope with the coming of dawn,
the seasons will come back around.
A life without you may be permanent or not
the cherished memories of summer.

The summer was not a bitter one

if you nibbled from the sweet berries

and took care of the apples to come

The summer was not a cold one

if you tended the fire not alone

and kept a match to reignite

The summer was not a wasted one

if you made memories of joy

to recall with a smile and no regret

The summer will go

fall to come

spring never endless

winter won't too
