That has to be one of the most heartbreaking things I have ever read. The feeling is added to the fact that I realized you write from experience and this poem could be a note to Abby from your other story. I don't know what your situation is or what hers is, but if what she felt for you is even a fraction of what you felt for her, please don't give up. Show her this poem and maybe even the other story because they show just how bad you know you fucked up and miss her.

I could be wrong, and this poem and your other story are mere figments of your imagination(in which case please write a book because your writing is so heartfelt and moving), but if I am correct in assuming these are your personal stories, please, don't give up just yet. We have to root for some happy endings out there, so why can't it be yours?
