~~

A zen breakfast

From ham and eggs;

A bit more complex than when eggs are scrambled

But far simpler than a monster omelet

Loaded with my favorites ~

Onions, peppers, cheese, tomatoes, and ham...

And now I'm hungry.

What you have here

as is, is a serious attempt at profundity, a bad thing, a very bad thing. Despite the arrow down your throat and the fork and the knife it has no point. Slighly reworded you could have had a good ironic feel to it or a truer sense of acceptance of things. Zen, ham and eggs, knife and fork coupled with purpose, direction and filling - way too many ingredients, leave some of them out. It smacks of trying to overwhelm. Take this what it is - that's zen. Not that crap MET is selling.

I found Zen

this morning

over eggs and ham

slicing with a knife

uplifting with a fork

to place the arrow

down my throat

a sign of direction

for my purpose

to fill me.
