I need to be reborn
to die before my death
to resurrect my birth
to see like a child
aching to discover
the newness around me.
I need to give away
all I sacrificed to get
before my last heartbeat
makes it worthless to me.
I need to erase, to forget,
to forgive those who trespassed
on property that was never mine.
I need to surrender my thinking
to finally realize and accept
that I am another
living in the fog of myself.

I love the use of hyperbole and imagery. It is beautifully decorated self awareness.
