Love,
Lily and Lovelace her pedals before me,
Morning dew glints and shimmers,
Open meadow,
I’m afraid to touch, afraid to spoil,
She longs for a bee to land softly and bring her golden grace
She longs for a hand to hold her pedals,
Open for the sun to quench them,
No fear my sun
Ferns and thorns,
she crowns me
And I her
Enjoined in a fertile embrace
Love,
her jungle is home,
Her limbs curl and wrap,
Like oak,
I succumb to her, and she me
Steady and firm together
She whispers truths to me,
And I to her,
Love.
