If dreams had the fertilizing capacity of agricultural machines - the beaches of northern France would be filled by now with extra produce of all thing growing and fertile, WOW! Talk about the female answer to the male “marking of the territory”. But there is more of course. It’s a solidarity fuck with all the sisters of the land. The ladies must have thoroughly read their “Frommer’s France” or such, but I could get the gist (and even be turned on), aided by their passion, with no refresher course. My only remaining question: will the ladies continue their tour in Europe? Please tell!
Good poem. Very nice how you end the poem by repeating the first strophe. The poem was certainly original and interesting.
Yes, the erotic element is perfectly portraid. Yet, it's what is captured with the sensual that I sit with.
Intense emotion in your work, as always.
I love this poem.
...But I don't think the Marines landed at Normandy. I know the US Army Rangers were there and the 82nd and 101st Airborne, but if I recall correctly, most Marine units were in the Pacific and East Asia during D-Day.
