It was only a quick roll in the sack, a quick tap on the back,

And after 9 full moons there was no looking back,

You heard a cry and a scream and it was never the same,

It all began to change and you became,

An expert at hearing everything but hearing nothing at all

As if you had a PHD in selective hearing,

Projectile vomit? You dodged it like a champion boxer,

You became the bank, the therapist, the teacher and the doctor

You were labelled the villain but called the only superhero,

Only those alike understand the powers

You became the bringer of food and the nullifier of cries

Born a human with 1 face, 1 heart ,2 arms and 2 thighs

You only see from the front but yet you see all behind

Back of the head is where you store your parental eyes

Just ask the offspring, THEY TELL NO LIES

You forgot the natural eye make-up that came for free during endlessly wakeful nights ;)

I'm not so sure about the last sentence...they learn too quick.

Thanks for this praise of parents
