When fate drives wedges in your soul,
And cleaves the things that make you whole,
The words that shine from heaven’s scroll
Can play a new and different role.
Hold fast to words that lift you high,
That speak to “what” and give the “why”.
Those words that truth cannot deny
Can soothe you like a lullaby.
Stand tall and live life fervently
While knowing what you can’t foresee
Can sometimes cause you agony
As discord drowns out harmony.
But let me make this one thing clear,
When storms are gath'ring far and near,
You know the clouds will disappear,
When perfect love drives out all fear.
