I didn't really like it on the first read, but came back after reading the rest of today's crop. It is a delightfully effective form piece (I normally hate "form" in modern writers), and it is perfect simply for not being pretentious--it aims at exactly what it is and succeeds perfectly in describing a mature relationship. I'm lucky I came back.
