I shine bright like the sun
Singular and constant
Just bright as the day before
I grace us with light to explore

Each day rising
Bringing nourishment
To the gardens below
Green and lush, ready to grow

You were my moon
Hidden in fullness
Hanging just out of reach
Now awaiting the totality Breach

I've been Lost in low levels
Of your ambient illumination
Alone in the quiet of today's night
Not Afraid to be captured in your Sight

And yet I beam so brilliantly bright
No longer hidden by clouds
Too intense to be seen with a naked eye
We will meet together in the same sky

A momentary loss of visibility
Im Tucked away Behind you
Your Darkness begins to shadow
My reflection dims to hollow

My Dark eye adapts
To our solar eclipse
The darkness you create
In my Purkinje shift

All that was orange
Compromised now by blue
But only for a few minutes
I allow myself to be affected by you

At the end of today
I prepare to rise anew
To never be shadowed again
By the likes of you

I was enraptured by this. Absolutely magnificent.
