A stark piece

Thought-provoking

and wonderfully written. There's a lot of raw emotion in your words, so thank you for sharing them. As a fellow female, I can only commend you on not being ashamed of them, like many of us are.

I voted ...

... a while ago, but I figured it was time to leave a comment to tell you how much I enjoyed this as a veteran of the war against nature myself. ~ Imp

Brave defence of womankind

What a brave topic to tackle here! You speak for all real women - our bodies display the evidence of all that we endure or experience.

What a lovely poem.

It should be required reading for all of us men, so that we understand that they actually add to your beauty rather than subtract from it.

I enjoyed this

and it tells a true story of what some women put themselves through. I don't mean stretch marks from pregnancies, which are normal and natural, and should be considered to be badges of honor. I mean stretch marks from dieting which I consider to be contrary to one's true nature.
