This is a takeoff on the monologue at the end of Blade Runner's ending, Tears in the rain.
***
I've seen things
dictatorship where
democracy was born
giant sea waves on the ocean
sandstorms across the dessert
rockets launching to space
my woman's face in rapture
two children born
planes crashing in buildings
war blood
all those moments
lost forever
like tears in the rain
