I am naïve
I see the world as black and white
I accept when you ask
I share when you ask
I come when you call
I smile and it’s a smile
I talk and it’s truth

The world is gray, I concede
I play no games
I can not
My heart bruises from chess
My heart cries from uno
My heart does not do Bullshit

I’m trying to keep up
I’m trying to learn
The twist
The turns
The vines
The thorns

But I bleed
I choke
I suffocate in your shade

I need the light
To see the dark
Leave me be…
Take your tricks
Your deceit
Your false humor
Your snide nicks
Your manipulative ways
Keep them
Eat them
Drink them
Glutton is yours
Cleverness is yours
Worldliness is yours

Simplicity
Virginity
I want
I need
I wish to keep
