Always the chaser,
Never the chasee
Why won’t anyone ever chase me?

Relationships come, relationships go.
I try to be good enough for each passing Joe.

Down on a knee, after years I propose
The answer he said was, “Sure...I suppose.”

Always the chaser,
Never the chasee
Why won’t anyone ever chase me?

Alone on the couch I try to find sleep.
Here with my thoughts and secrets I keep.

Each lonely night I spend with my tears,
Confirms my suspicions and all of my fears.

Although there are people here in my home,
By myself I continue to roam.

Always the chaser,
Never the chasee
Why won’t anyone ever chase me?

I'm feeling it.

A great way to conceptualize loneliness and the desire to be desired. Nice.

Good stuff.

I feel the same way. I bleed out my heart for women but receive nothing but casual sex. Thank you for sharing. :)
